Designed by Michelle Kaufmann, Lotus is an award-winning green home whose folding glass walls open on three sides, dissolving the boundary between living room, deck and Sierra forest.
The house overlooks Rollins Lake, with a private custom trail descending from the back deck toward the water. The setting is close to Grass Valley and Nevada City, yet deliberately secluded.
